So this block was a toughie. The middle square took a lot of doing, ripping and swearing but I finally got it done after 2 days.

Dear Jane - Getting Assistance

I'm getting mom to help me with this project. Since I am doing quilt as you go, I don't have the right light (and bad eyes!) to be able finish the binding on the blocks. I've given her 3 rows so far and she had them done in no time.

So now I'm going to go through my patterns and see which blocks are appliqué. Since she can and does enjoy doing them by hand, it will save me from machine appliqué.

I've finished row D, started on row E and have the top row done as well. Here is the quilt so far. It will change once I only concentrate on the paper piecing blocks and mom works on the appliqué.

This block I had to cheat. It has Y-Seams and I just can't master those. I see my next block again has Y-Seams so I better do some practicing.
