Nature's Hideaway

Today Lucy and I went down to the Highwood River by Nature's Hideaway to take some pictures. Nature's Hideaway is a campground by where mom & dad used to live at Davisburg/DeWinton. The weather was gorgeous, the water was inviting and I got bit by my first mosquito. Here are some pictures from the river side.

Columbine and hidden ramp

Went shopping with mom at Home Depot tonight and saw this beautiful Columbine. Still too early to plant though.

With the construction happening in the parkade, behind a wall they torn down you can see the ramp they had originally created to continue up to the other levels.

St. Paul's Anglican Church - Night Shots

On my way home from a nice night out with friends, I thought I'd stop by and take some pictures of this small church on the side of the road. This is the St. Paul's Anglican Church, built in 1885 in southern Calgary just off Macleod Trail and next to Fish Creek Park.

These are my favourites that turned out.

Belly Dancing

A night out with the girls! For those of you who aren't in the know, it is preferred that the dancers be voluptuous and the more curves the better. This enhances the movements.

Oxymoron

An oxymoron is a figure of speech that combines contradictory terms. Oxymora appear in a variety of contexts, including inadvertent errors such as ground pilot and literary oxymorons crafted to reveal a paradox.

Crocus', Clover and Big Foot

Last year mom had said several times how she wished she had crocus' coming up in the front lawn. Well when they went on their Panama Canal cruise, Jacki and I bought about 100 crocus bulbs and planted them in the front lawn. They have finally started coming up and here are the pictures of the ones popping up so far.

Mom and I went to Greengate, the local garden centre and I found what I thought was impossible - 4 leaved clover!  Yes these are real and I found not only 1 but 2! These pictures are not doctored in any way and I have the clover to prove it.

On our way out of the garden centre we also bumped into Big Foot.
