Wreck City

Tonight I went to Wreck City to take some pictures. Here is what it is about:

"WRECK CITY is a community-based art experiment transforming nine Sunnyside homes scheduled for demolition into temporary art, installation, and performance spaces. Organized by local Artists to commemorate 809 Gallery. Calgary's first garage-based art gallery (also scheduled for demolition) WRECK CITY features 100 Artists, Musicians, Curators, and Performers! Perhaps the largest DIY exhibition of its type ever seen in Canada, participants are free to radically alter the architecture of the houses, re-shaping the homes using materials from the houses themselves and beginning a metamorphosis made only by the freedom of working with buildings soon to be destroyed. You're invited to witness the transformation!"

Office "Incident"

Today I tried to play one last practical joke on one of the ladies in the office. It was to be a murder scene as another lady brought in her target from when she went to the gun range for the first time. Plus I was going to use the dog that was chopped open for the April Fool's day. I went in early to get this done. Well as I was starting to put this together guess who walked around the corner and caught me. Yes, the intended victim. Needless to say I didn't get everyone done but here are some pictures of what I had started.

Box

I'm looking for a box to fit under my bed so I can put some crafts, etc. in it as there is very limited space in the apartment. Unfortunately the bed frame is really low and I need to find a box that is no bigger then 5 inches. Mom gave me a box but it just won't fit. Too bad as this is the size of box I'm looking for.

Fits under Jacki's bed no problem!

Confusion

Walking over to Co-op, I went through the parkade. I got this picture just before exiting the parkade stairwell and was confused as to what this would have originally been. Would they have put dirt and greenery in here? What purpose other than keeping the hill from caving in would they have left these holes?

.....OR.... paint by numbers. Finally finished my project I've had on the go for a while.

New Shoes

I needed to buy new shoes for work and these were the only ones that would fit my inserts. They are fine for now.

Easter Egg Communication

We had some left over Easter eggs, so I hid a few in Jacki's room. This morning I woke up to the following message she left me on the counter.

So of course I had to leave her a message.

Focus Testing

I thought my camera wasn't up to par with my shots last night so I took some pictures to ensure it was focusing properly. It is fine, it is me. I have to take my time and the pictures will turn out.

Here are my practice shots.
