With Covid, we lost so many things - big family gatherings, going to restaurants etc. But we gained too, learning to 'zoom' with family, having virtual trunk shows and so on. This block is to remind us to grab the new and unique opportunities we have available!

Appreciate!
Appreciate the family and friends, but appreciate strangers. I recently watched an ambulance with sirens go by and was so appreciative of all the vehicles that automatically moved over and just knew that was the right thing to do. This is just one example of how we can appreciate how wonderful people can be.

Snoopy Original
This is the centre of my Snoopy original quilt I am working on. I have sketched a few ideas down so just need to make the blocks so I can see which looks the best. Wish me LUCK!

Franklin Armstrong
Here is my first paper piecing block for my Snoopy Original quilt I am working on in my head. I also have the "Snoopy" centre which I will post on it's own. That was made a while ago.
Franklin was my first and I'm not sure about the embellishment I did as I don't want it to come unravelled when washed. Guess I will wait and see.
Still not a fan of paper piecing but hopefully I will get the hang of it. I find you use more material than you should but maybe that is because I'm not that experienced.
I think I also need a better design wall as all my blocks I take pictures of from my chair all are crooked!

Pumpkin
So I have this Halloween design in my head. I found this paper piecing pattern online, so attempted it with my scraps. I'm happy how it turned out. Now to get the rest of the design out of my head and made into a wall hanging. Hopefully I can get this done before Halloween,

Cov-ercome - Block 1
The title is a combination of the words Covid and Overcome, as the world works so hard on overcoming Covid and all that is entailed in doing so. This quilt is a celebration of resiliency, kindness and strength that all of us have shown and continue to do so.
Quilt Along created by Jackie White.
Block 1 is called “Be Adventurous”.
In times of Covid we need to be adventurous in our thinking of how we can be strong, be kind and be safe.

Farmer's Wife - Block 59
Night & Day
This block's template was all crooked when putting together and I tried to make it as square as possible. When putting the blocks together I'm going to have to be careful and make them all the same size.
If I did have the proper template, I would enjoy this block.

So this block is similar to Block 57 - Morning, just different in the colour positioning.
